Bright Starr’s Academy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates brightstarrsacademy.com. We are a small microschool in Casa Grande, Arizona, and we treat the information families share with us with the same care we give their children. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your choices are.

We only collect information you choose to give us. When you fill in our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and, if you provide them, your phone number and your child’s grade or age, along with the message you write.

Like most websites, our web host also records basic technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. This is used for security and to keep the site running properly.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to reply to your question, arrange a visit, and talk with you about enrollment. That is all. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not send marketing emails from this website.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for parents and guardians, not for children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 through this site. Any information about a child reaches us only because a parent or guardian chose to share it. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Contact form submissions are stored in this website’s WordPress database and emailed to the school. The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to the website’s administration area is limited to the school and the people who maintain the site.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as medical records, financial details, or government identification numbers through the contact form. We will tell you a safer way to share those if they are needed for enrollment.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only as long as they are useful for responding to you and for our enrollment records. You may ask us to delete your information at any time.

This site uses only the cookies WordPress needs to function, along with caching that helps pages load quickly. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking or analytics cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

Other services

Bright Starr’s Academy is a microschool powered by Prenda. If you enroll, you will also interact with Prenda’s own systems, and any information you provide there is governed by Prenda’s privacy policy rather than this one. Our website also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of serving them.

Your choices

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just get in touch and we will take care of it.

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page.
