A school with heart,
founded on faith

Bright Starr’s Academy began with one nurse’s calling: to help every child, especially those who learn differently, feel valued, capable, and loved.

As a registered nurse with more than 20 years of experience, I have dedicated my life to caring for and supporting children and families. Throughout my career, I have developed a passion for helping children with autism spectrum disorder, learning differences, and other unique needs reach their full potential.

I am also a wife, a proud mother of three grown sons, and a Nana of four amazing grandchildren. My family has taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued. My Christian faith has been a guiding influence throughout my life, shaping my commitment to serve others with kindness, grace, and love.

That passion inspired me to create Bright Starr’s Academy, a microschool powered by Prenda. Ours is a small, supportive learning environment designed for children who thrive with individualized attention and fewer distractions. With our small class structure, I can focus on helping each child build confidence in life skills, social skills, and success in learning.

Rooted in faith-based values, I strive for every child to grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
